Our nonagenarian celebrant has been blessed with great friends and families, and with them she celebrated her birthday this year at I'M Hotel in Makati. A mass was held to give thanks for the blessing of lola Nelia's many years of life. Of course no celebration is complete without the delectable dishes served at the buffet table to fill the contentment of everybody's cravings from tummy to the heart.
With appetizers, a bounty of bread and spread selections, savory dishes, and confections lined up, one very Pinoy item served up was the Balut. It must have been some 50 lbs. of that egg which almost everybody was delighted to have.
Right at the corner where the food was being served, guests were also treated to a different kind of serving - a spoonful of laughter with a glass of joy as guests had their pictures taken at the photo booth.
We expected that the younger generations would flock first to get the best out of our workhorse but we anticipated wrong. The elder generations surprisingly made the beating of our station, with group shots and solos.
These lovely ladies won't be stopped shooting two birds with one stone by grabbing a sumptuous serving of the main course meals and posing for the camera for a serving of fun.
Intuitively, the younger generations who share the life of lola Nelia would come in next. There's really no booze to get them drunk but it's a fun way to goof around in soliloquy with this prop.
The photobooth rental comes with a lot of different props - message boards, expression sticks, party hats, and masks. Mixing them around is really fun.
The youngest in the bracket of generations spawned by the flesh and blood of lola Nelia won't be denied the fun. Grabbing their emoji sticks and signboards they struck a pose like innocent little dumplings.
While solos and duets played well at the start, nobody can resist cramming faces for that glorious reunion group shot.
Surely, it was a great chance to get that family portrait too. Sprinkle it with some hugs and kisses and we guarantee you, you'll get some really nice shots.
At 93 years of age, she's still strong. Mind you she was dancing to her heart's desire after having a few pictures of her taken. May the years lola Nelia have been blessed with in return bless the succeeding generations with the story of her life.
While the prints have all been given away already, we've tucked in the entire picture set from this celebration in a little nook on our archive of photo booth albums. Comment, like, grab, and share from this link.
