With a theme that centered on "Traveling the World", the photo booth rental was set up with complementing accents. The stylist provided the backdrop which made the roll-up a lot easier given the tight space made available by the hotel. The prints layout was finely crafted by our artist exhibiting iconic landmarks around the world (e.g. Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, the Leaning Tower of Pisa...) which represented the cities that tourists wouldn't miss out to visit. Coupled with some fun vectors showing an airplane, hot air balloon, and people with luggages, the "stage" for the shots is set.
While our studio-grade lighting setup was in place, some yellow casts from the hotel's ceiling lights spilled over. This is a difficulty we try to go around on and make do with because setting up a scrim is so much more quixotic of a task to block unwanted light spills than just getting on with the show. No worries though, the gents and ladies enjoyed every bit of Flickapalooza fun.
Inside the ballroom, instead of the common round-table formal set-up, the organizers styled the room to be dim, cozy, and relaxing by putting sofas for people to sit on - living-room style, and dinner was served tea-party style. There were program segments that kept the guests entertained and because everybody loved dancing, the floor was opened for some groovy moves for both young and old.
While much goings-on gave the guests and the celebrant a blast, the photo booth served the guests with printed souvenirs from the event with much awesome fun. Here are select sample prints from Mr. WIlson Bobier's 50th birthday party.
The service was actually booked on short-notice after the original service provider advised the Bobiers that the booth will not be available. When we took the call, earlier in the day, of the event day itself, we had to hurry with the layout and processing of service order documents because the event is only several hours away. Thanks to our speedy creative team who quickly produced the prints layout.
The photo booth rental is your stage, exhibit your funny antics, fire off some slapstick humor, strike a subtle pose, make zany faces, goof around, pick your nose like these two here... it's your platform to be the star of the night. Who knows, your print may just be featured here and it will turn your 40 seconds of fame to a lifetime of stardom.
As always, there are the soloists. These are the brave souls who challenge the lens in an eye-to-eye staring contest.
Cheers to Mr. Wilson Bobier, may your 50th birthday be a new springboard for many great new things for you and your family. While you travel the world, know that you travel through time too. Your best kept memories are in your heart. As the great Neil deGrasse Tyson once said "photography is a form of time travel." You can look back at these photos, travel back in time, and know that you had a great life and there's more for you in the next 50 years.
