This is #MYOH2017 - Every year, in the last several years, Havaianas has been running this event that lets its patrons create their own footwear customized down to the accessories you can attach to the slippers. How you do that is with a 3D printer. You can have your name 3D printed! How awesome is that?
At least on the day we were there to serve the 12-hour photo booth rental, the influx of buyers never stopped from 10am to 10pm. People flocked panic-buying, like it was the dawn of the apocalypse. The event was practically peppered with customers who seem to have decimated the entire venue at the Mega Fashion Hall in Bldg D, of SM MegaMall. The event was also graced by some celebrities - Ina Raymundo, Dimples, and Say Alonzo to name a few. Ina Raymundo joined the team of slipper-smiths to make some custom-designed footwear for unsuspecting clients already in the long and slithering queue line.
Meanwhile, over at the photo area in one happy corner, Scout Magazine (Hinge Inquirer Publications, Inc.) sponsored the event's photo booth rental. Here are select prints from the set.
They say two is a company and three is a crowd, but hey, "the more the merrier" is still true!
Uuuhhhm, the angry bird hat is a hat, not a mask. But we're good, peace =)
Sweetness abounds!
When people pose for the cam and hold up their placards, is it a reflection of who they are? Do people love to get drunk? People definitely love to be sexy!
Single here, foghorn sounding!
Most used our props to convey what they feel at that moment, we have shout-out placards, we have party hats and props, but for proud Havaianaticos, they showcase their custome designed Havaianas! Here are some of them.
For Havaianaticos who missed the event at the Mega Fashion Hall, worry not, Havaianas is still running the Make Your Own Havaianas event until June this year in different places. Check out their website for more details. If you registered with Scout Magazine and are searching for your prints, we've stashed them safely here on MYOH 2017 Photo Booth Prints.
