The photo booth service was ready ahead of time to bring awesome snaps to the enthusiastic guests of the Abagat-Camama wedding. The reception dinner was held at the City Garden Grand Hotel which provided sumptuous servings of delectable cuisines in Lauriat style. The influx of provincial visitors was unprecedented, at least in our experience. The elected number of tables was not enough to sit everybody down but the quick crew of the hotel prepared additional tables and chairs to occupy the receiving area of the ballroom at the 31st floor. Attended by Palawan-based government officials and former Puerto Princessa Mayor Edward Hagedorn, it was nothing short of a celebrity wedding. The newly-wed couple was, in fact, welcomed by a horde of paparazzi guests.
At first, we didn't know what to expect, because this was our first Muslim wedding. There may be cultural limitations or religious prohibitions on ways of doing things, the timing, and the use of certain paraphernalia from the picture station. It turns out, though, that they pretty much enjoy the booth in the same manner we all do and without restrictions of religious nature whatsoever. The wedding reception was so packed and more guests than expected arrived. We actually had to give away our spot to so the hotel crew can set-up additional tables to accommodate more guests. Unfortunately, we had to close the booth completely and the couple was not able to have their pictures taken at the photo booth. But all is well - the guests had taken awesome snaps and the journey of a new life with lots of great adventures is up on the road for Amer and Eshny.
